KOI lamp work in progress

back to real life painting ohhhhhhh yyeeaaaaaaaaaa!! !!!so i did a dragon lamp a while ago and it was good fun so i figured id do another .I started the Koi lamp months back but i shelved it for a bit and just got back to it tonight .Half is how it was before tonight (see left ) the other half after.

Heres the dragon lamp done !I think it turned out decent .Its not so hot looking lit but i think its still alright and a good lesson learned about painting lamps:)

I had a couple of these lamps kick'n around for a while now and i havent been using them so i figured id try painting one..heres it is so far .Sort of tattoo art meets japan meets ........a dragon.the blue stuff is masking tape.

Pirate Ray gun WIP2

so this is sort of a figure out the details pass on the ray gun .Still working in one tone then next i add different values to different materials and light and shadow .THEN i add big scary awesome color!!!

Heart for the pinkrock bathroom

i started and finished the painting last night .we bought some little stamps we were going to try and put on the walls but once got the pink on it didnt seem like a great idea .I took one of the stamps we had and took the idea of it turned it into this painting.

heres my first session painting on my pirate ray gun peice .so far im happy with it and ive been peek n at for the last few days and thinking of tweeks.Yaaaaaaarrrrr zap!!!!

Buffa lo-fi wip1

Heres a wip of a painting im working on currently .I regret not getting earlier shots of it just because its changed so much since i started it and i think it will change alot more before its done .Im working monocromaticaly to start with and hope to start introducing color with glazes once i get more of the form and details finalized. I dont know how to do glazes so that should be interesting

Pirate ray gun

My lady and I decide to have a lazy afternoon out at motzarts down by the lake.I did this painting in guache and a brown ink pen on watercolor paper.a little note-painting and a wobbly wooden deck is not awsome for drawing strait lines :)

a place to put up random artings .Having a web site is awesome but i need a place not so squeaky clean to post up sketches and other random thoughts and noodles and doodles .this would be that place .
