the view from our Deck in Florence .We had a small court yard sort of thing that was totally enclosed that was sort of cool and shady .awesome for relaxing but not so awesome for drying clothes on our metal rack .Travel note :no one has Dryers in Italy! for reals. Only George Clooney and Laundromats and the rich .

Back From Italy!!

        I'm still digesting all the things ive seen all the food i ate and all the walking i did and the fact that I'm now somebody's Husband!Simply put Italy was amazing !Of all the places i visited i was most smitten with Florence for some reason.there was something to the energy and the people  and the fact that every street corner was a potential painting plus gelato ! Any way I'm sure stuff will come up in other posts but just so its said if you ever wanted to go to Italy i emphatically say DO IT!!!

One of the many things i was stoked about heading to Europe was picking up some of there gorgeous graphic novels and comics.I  love our north american comics but there's something amazing to me about the presentation  and subject matter and just over all hand crafted feel of their books .

there was a massive layoff at vigil last week and some very very talented people have been lost from the team :( Our loss could be your gain! If you are hiring or know studios hiring please contact them or me and we will try and get them placed painlessly into new homes. 3 people i saw come into the industry and grow like crazy with no sign of stopping.

looking for a good inky looking line brush in Photoshop .still struggling with getting clean lines and just ended up slapping in a lot of paint.I get a lot of wiggle and choppy looking stuff  but im finding some cool stuff too. I'l keep playing

the life Cycle of a Crab ank

I drew a Crab tank the other day and Paul Richards added to the idea so i decided to sketch out what that might look like.

1. small Pupa tanks are issued to young boys and girls when they join the fighting core at which point they begin to bond and learn together .
2. Later they migrate to the young tank cycle where the teens then fill a scout and Currier roll as they finish out there schooling.
3. This is the biggest first step into maturity both the for single occupant and  the  Growing Crab tank.
4. As the Crab tank enters Full maturity it begins to take on unique attributes making each one diffident from the next .A custom Ceramic outer shell is crafted to fit the ever evolving Crab tanks body some times to fill a roll and sometimes just to enhance its natural strengths

 .

My friends kid is having his 5th birthday next weekend and what better gift than a custom nerf gun? well a lot of  other things would be better but that's what hes getting form me any way :)

cliff notes :

• black spray base cote 
• mask off areas
• brown spray coat
• hairspray
• color
• remove mask 

(currently at this point)

• light  wet sand paper until desired ware 
• brown wash on color and wipe off 
• sand color on black parts and wipe off
• shoot someone

well im calling it done.This was a massive lesson in perspective and establishing it early so you dont spend the entire time putting band-aids on everything ! takes a lot longer and i think ultimately ended up with something over rendered .With that said if success is measure in things learned then this was a success .thanks for all who contributed feed back in the process!
